The Caribou Rocky Mountains itinerary combines the best-known landscapes of Banff, Jasper and Yoho National Parks with southern British Columbia, Revelstoke and Whistler. The route includes the Icefields Parkway, glacier-fed lakes, waterfalls, mountain viewpoints and opportunities to learn about Indigenous cultures.
The trip has a social small-group format with hostel-based accommodation, a driver-guide and a maximum published group size of 23. Seasonal experiences include Moraine Lake access and kayaking on Lake Revelstoke, while Banff provides a free day for optional hiking, rafting, canoeing or biking.

Depart downtown Vancouver and travel east through the Fraser Valley. Walk through West Coast rainforest to Bridal Veil Falls, stop in Hope, then continue into the Cascade Mountains to Lightning Lake in E.C. Manning Provincial Park. Arrive in Penticton with the evening free for dinner, a brewery visit or a swim in Okanagan Lake when conditions are suitable.
Cross multiple mountain ranges and national-park landscapes on the journey toward Banff. Stop at Craigellachie to see the site of the Last Spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway, continue through Rogers Pass and cross Kicking Horse Pass before arriving in Banff. The evening is free to socialise at the hostel or explore Banff Avenue.
Visit Lake Louise and, when seasonal access permits, Moraine Lake. Continue north along the Icefields Parkway through a landscape of peaks, glaciers and turquoise lakes. The night is spent at a rustic wilderness hostel, with a sauna, cold-plunge option and campfire atmosphere described in the published itinerary.
Continue along the Icefields Parkway with stops at Big Bend Lookout and Peyto Lake. Visit the Columbia Icefield in Jasper National Park, and, when conditions permit, hike toward the toe of the Athabasca Glacier before returning to Banff for the night.
A free day in Banff allows you to set your own pace. Hike local trails, explore the town, visit breweries and restaurants, or ask the guide about optional adventure activities.
Leave Banff and head west, stopping at seasonal Takakkaw Falls, Emerald Lake and Natural Bridge. Later, enjoy a kayaking session on Lake Revelstoke when conditions and season permit, then continue into Revelstoke for the evening.
Travel from Revelstoke toward Whistler through forests, mountains and lake country. Whistler, host to events during the 2010 Winter Olympics, provides an energetic final-night setting with time to explore the resort and its nightlife.
Return to Vancouver along the Sea to Sky Highway. Visit the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre, stop at Brandywine Falls, see the Stawamus Chief near Squamish and visit Shannon Falls before continuing beside Burrard Inlet into Vancouver.
An experienced, friendly driver-guide accompanies the tour.
Transport is by comfortable mini-coach with a published maximum capacity of 23 passengers, large viewing windows, air-conditioning, heating and a sound system.
Flights to and from the tour's starting and finishing points are not included and must be arranged separately.
Travel insurance is not included. The published operator strongly recommends comprehensive cover for emergency medical costs, cancellation, interruption or delay, baggage and any adventure activities you plan to take part in.
