Vancouver to Rockies VIA Rail
Travel through the Canadian Rockies aboard VIA Rail and continue with a guided journey through Jasper, Banff and Yoho National Parks. The programme combines an overnight rail experience with mountain scenery, glacier-fed lakes, waterfalls, canyon walks and time in the towns of Jasper and Banff.
The itinerary is designed at a relaxed pace and includes one night aboard VIA Rail, one night in Jasper and two nights in the Banff area. Optional upgrades and excursions can be added subject to availability.

DAY
1
Vancouver → Jasper by VIA Rail
Make your own way to Vancouver Pacific Central Station and board VIA Rail at approximately 3:00 PM for the overnight journey to Jasper. Guests should plan to arrive at least one hour before departure for check-in. Economy-class meals are not included, although food and drinks can be purchased on board. Dinner is included for passengers who upgrade to sleeper class.
DAY
2
Jasper National Park
The train makes a short stop in Kamloops before continuing to Jasper, with arrival around 11:00 AM. Meet the guide and continue into Jasper National Park, with mountain scenery around Mount Robson. The sightseeing programme visits Maligne Lake, Maligne Canyon and Jasper town.

DAY
3
Jasper → Athabasca Falls → Columbia Icefield → Bow Lake → Peyto Lake
Travel south through Jasper National Park and stop at Athabasca Falls before following the Icefields Parkway. Continue to the Columbia Icefield, with optional Ice Explorer and Glacier Skywalk experiences when operating. Later stops include Bow Lake and Peyto Lake for scenic views and short walks.

Visit Lake Louise for mountain and lake views before continuing, season permitting, toward Moraine Lake and the Valley of the Ten Peaks. Cross into Yoho National Park to see the Spiral Tunnel area, Emerald Lake and Natural Bridge.

Explore Banff National Park with a walk at Johnston Canyon, then visit Bow Falls, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos. Spend time in Banff town for shops and restaurants. An optional Sulphur Mountain gondola ride may be added before the programme ends in Calgary.

Calgary extension: an extended stay in Calgary may be
